Recent works by photographer Dennis Sabo and jewelry artist Kristine Taylor will be featured in an exhibit during the month of March at the Art Market Gallery in downtown Knoxville, and you are cordially invited to the opening reception.
The reception will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m., March 7, during Knoxville’s monthly First Friday Art Walk downtown. Live music will be performed by Sunshine Station, and it is a wonderful opportunity for patrons to meet the featured artists as well as other gallery members, and to enjoy complimentary refreshments.
Dennis Sabo is an award-winning fine-art photographer specializing in natural contemporary abstracts and landscapes. The Loudon resident exhibits photographic metal prints, an archival medium that preserves a photo image and makes the resulting photograph waterproof, scratch resistant, and possessing an almost magical luminescence.
Kristine Taylor’s jewelry has a contemporary, richly colored look inspired by California’s ethnic cultures and East Tennessee’s natural hues. The featured hand-shaped polymer clay components are unique, created with various surface design techniques. Often she incorporates fibers, stones, pearls, sterling silver, gold or other metals with the polymer.
It’s easy to come downtown to visit us. The gallery is spacious, wheelchair accessible, and parking in the abutting garage behind our building and on the street, along with nearby public garages is free after 6 p.m. and on weekends.
We very much look forward to seeing you at the opening reception. But, if you cannot join us on First Friday, you should know that this show will run through Sunday, March 30.
