Featured Artists March 2013

Art Market Gallery members cordially invite you to join us Friday, March 1, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., at the First Friday opening reception for our Featured Artists Exhibit. While viewing a presentation of recent works by jeweler Kristine Taylor of Knoxville and photographer Ronald Sullivan of Oak Ridge, enjoy complimentary refreshments and live acoustic folk and blues music on guitar and banjo by Crispy Williams.
Kristine Taylor, who graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in cell biology, designs and creates one-of-a-kind and limited edition jewelry. Her pieces, using polymer with which she creates  their shapes, colors and textures, are inspired by her California roots and the physical beauty of East Tennessee.
In graduate school, Ron Sullivan studied the poetry and printmaking of the 18th and 19th centuries, and quickly made a practical and artistic connection between them and photography. Sights and experiences from a decade of international business travel added to his vision, all reflected in cityscape images and collages.
Member owned and operated by more than 60 regional artists, the Art Market Gallery is located at 422 South Gay St., next to the Downtown Grill & Brewery, and a few doors down from Mast General Store. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday. The gallery is handicapped accessible, and nearby public city garages and street parking are free daily after 6 p.m. and on weekends).  For more information, call 865-525-5265, visit, or join us on Facebook:
Kristine’s and Ron’s exhibit will be on display March 1-31. Hope to see you at the gallery!
