Many music artists call themselves the queen of this and the queen of that but nobody’s got anything on the first queen - Queen A (Aretha). No others compare to this natural woman who demanded respect. I decided to paint her because she’s been on my mind a lot since her passing. Respect the Queen is an image of Aretha Franklin in the 60s - back when she was coming out with hit after hit like Chain of Fools, Think and more.
