Young Lust is a hard-rocking standout on Pink Floyd’s The Wall album featuring a blistering vocal from David Gilmour, who inhabits some of the darker recesses of the main character, Pink. Gilmour, who co-wrote the song, plays the propulsive bass. This song proves that although Roger Waters was the architect of The Wall, he couldn’t have built it without Gilmour.
I chose to paint Young Lust in shades of blue and green to symbolize Gilmour’s organic unity in the band’s success. Written in 1979, the song was one of Gilmour’s greatest lyrical contributions to the band. Young Lust is available at www.etsy.com/shop/klockmillerart
