Dennis’s photography has been included in solo and group art gallery exhibitions and commercial installations throughout the world. Recently one of his Photographic Metal Prints that sold at the Art Market Gallery went to its new home in Brazil.
In 2020, he received the Healing Power of Art excellence award from Manhattan Art International, New York, New York. Continuing his New York accolades, Dennis’s work was recently included in the 2020 William Vale, Brooklyn, New York- August 2020 permanent art collection.
His award-winning work has appeared in various publications and institutions. He was the featured story: “The Earth World – Dennis Sabo – A Master of Lens, Light, Color and Art” in the Portfolio May 2018, Naples, Florida magazine and his photographic artwork ‘Okavango Twilight’ was used as the cover art for that Portfolio magazine.
His photography has been featured in Blue Planet, NOVA, National Geographic, Canon U.S.A, Portfolio Magazine Naples, and the Anthology of Appalachian Photographers. Locally he recently was awarded a first, second, third, and honorable mention place awards in the 2021 Southern Appalachian Nature Photographer’s Photography salon.
Most of Dennis’s nature imagery is a microcosm of a subject—collectors anywhere in the world can relate to the art regardless as to where they live. His interest is in the natural details; how the environment on a particular day, in a particular light, and at a particular moment in time correlates to my personal vision and interpretation.
Art collectors often say Dennis’s painterly and emotionally charged photographs are reminiscent of the best works of art by the legendary Impressionists as they capture light and its effect on the landscape with a contemporary vibrancy and energy. Says Dennis, “While nature is at the forefront in all my photography, I intentionally convey and display my natural world abstracts and landscapes so that photography is looked at and worked as a medium different from the usual.”
Dennis explains, “My goal is to help other people celebrate their love and passion of nature and the natural world through my artwork. I feel that the art of photography is about transforming a composition into an emotional interaction with the viewer.
